Gorillia Fists: Tapping the Chest

Monday October 8, 2018

October is a time for changing and releasing.  The trees are turning from their vibrant green to  all their beautiful reds, orange and gold.  The country is awake with colour and following thanksgiving the trees will shed their leaves in preparation for the long cold winter.  As my little Granddaughters say it is Thanksgiving Party in the forest.

This weekend I was working on my Bones For Life presentation of Process No. 8 and part of the process made me think about bringing vitality into our bodies and shedding old emotions and feelings.  The process is Gorilla Fists: Tapping the Chest.  Give it a try to your morning ritual and see how vibrant you feel after.

Gorillia Fists:  Tapping the Chest

Using just 20% of your capacity pound your fists on our chest in a rhythmical pace, alternating one first after the other.  Let your fingers not be tight.  Make a long sound and allow the pounding to fragment it.  Explore different places on your chest: symmetrically or two hands on one side or another, high near the clavicles or lower.  Stop for a moment and sense how the whole body feels.  Let go and enjoy the result.
